How to Treat Flu

They say, if flu is cured, it is over in 7 days, if it is not cured, it passes in a week. I don't play down the role of the traditional medicine but I think that folk remedies can be a great choice in some cases. Of course, I don't mean such pandemias as avian flu (H5N1) or swine flu (H1N1). As for common influenza without any complications folk medicine is quite acceptable. Moreover, it's much better than to buy expensive drugs and swallow pills that harm your organism. So, here is some helpful advices...

1. If you catch a cold, take 100 g hot tea, 100 g red wine and 100 g fresh raspberries or jam. Mix the ingredients in one big cup and then drink while hot. Go to bed at once. In the morning you will feel better.

2. If a cold just begins, shell a small onion, grate it and spread on a bandage layer. Apply the compress on wings of nose for 10 minutes. Repeat this procedure thrice a day. Oil wings in advance.

3. Drink hot tea with honey and three squashed lemon slices.

4. Wash your mouth and throat with water and honey solution. 1 spoonful for a glass of boiling water. Let it cool a bit. It decreases tonsillitis and makes your teeth white.

5. Wash your mouth and throat with an eucalyptus tincture. 1 tablespoon eucalyptus for half a litre of water. Bring to a boil and let it brew for 20-30 minutes. Use all these advices together to achieve better results. One more advice, keep to bed for some days, drink more water and be positive!
